Porcelain crowns

Porcelain crowns are a type of dental crown used to restore a damaged or fractured tooth. A porcelain crown is a tooth-shaped cap cemented over a damaged or fractured tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Porcelain crowns are the most aesthetically pleasing of all crowns and are often used for front tooth restoration. Porcelain crowns are precision-crafted in a dental laboratory, so multiple appointments are usually required to restore a tooth with a porcelain crown. PFM crowns, which are made of a tooth-colored porcelain layer baked onto a metal core, offer the most durability and strength. Porcelain crowns, however, may look better but do not have the same durability as PFM crowns.
